🗓 Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at the Gateway to the Red Sea – Jeddah
Arrival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia’s cosmopolitan coastal metropolis. After your airport transfer and hotel check-in, we explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Al-Balad old town. We stroll among centuries-old coral-stone merchant houses adorned with magnificent wooden rawasheen balconies, ending the day with our first traditional Saudi dinner.
Day 2: High-Speed Journey to the Holy City of Medina
In the morning, we board the futuristic, state-of-the-art Haramain High-Speed Railway, bulleting through the desert to the second-holiest city in Islam, Medina. We view the monumental Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi) from the designated outer visitor zones, experience the immense spiritual energy of the site, and visit the historic battlefield of Mount Uhud.
Day 3: Travel into the Heart of the Desert – AlUla
We travel north in our comfortable, private car through dramatic, sweeping desert landscapes until we reach the spectacular oasis of AlUla. Recognized as one of the world's largest open-air museums, AlUla holds pristine traces of ancient civilizations. In the evening, we check into our desert accommodation to enjoy the starlit sky.
Day 4: The Majestic Rock Tombs of Hegra & Elephant Rock
Today is dedicated to exploring the archaeological marvel of Hegra (Madain Salih), the southern capital of the Nabataean Kingdom and sister site to Petra. We marvel at the monumental, astonishingly well-preserved tombs carved into standalone sandstone monoliths. Before sunset, we visit the gigantic, natural Elephant Rock (Jabal Al-Fil), where we can relax at a trendy desert lounge.
Day 5: The Ancient Kingdom of Dadan & Oasis Walk
We continue our exploration of AlUla by visiting the ancient rock inscriptions of Dadan and Jabal Ikmah, carved into the stone faces by travelers and kings thousands of years ago—often called the "open-air library" of the ancient world. In the afternoon, we enjoy a pleasant stroll through the lush palm groves of the AlUla Oasis and the beautifully restored Old Town bazaar.
Day 6: Coastal Charm of Yanbu & Return to Jeddah
We say goodbye to AlUla and drive back towards the Red Sea coast. Along the way, we stop in the historic port town of Yanbu, famous for its beautifully restored heritage area where Lawrence of Arabia once lived. After a scenic walk along the sea, we arrive back in Jeddah for a farewell dinner to celebrate our Saudi Arabian adventure.
Day 7: Farewell to the Arabian Peninsula & Departure
Depending on your international flight schedule, we transfer to Jeddah International Airport for your flight back to Budapest, bringing home memories of a truly unforgettable journey.
