🗓 Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in N'Djamena – The Sahelian Metropolis

Arrival in Chad’s bustling capital city, N'Djamena. Following airport reception and transfer, we check into our comfortable city hotel. In the evening, we hold a briefing about the expedition ahead, followed by free time to explore the city (dinner is independent).

Day 2: Journey to the Land of Nomads – Dourbali Region

Early in the morning, we leave the capital behind and head southeast in our 4x4 vehicles toward Dourbali. We drive through the iconic Sahelian savannahs, where the first nomadic camps appear along the way. In the afternoon, we set up our first wild campsite near the settlements of the Wodaabe tribe and enjoy a hot dinner prepared by our chef under the stars.

Day 3 - 4: The Majestic Gerewol Festival

Two full, unforgettable days in the heart of the Gerewol Festival. We witness one of the most exceptional cultural events on Earth, where young men from the nomadic Wodaabe tribe wear elaborate, colorful makeup, traditional jewelry, and headpieces while dancing and singing for hours to win the admiration of the women. We gain deep insights into their daily lives and traditions, while our private chef handles full board at our campsite.

Day 5: Farewell to the Festival & Return to the Capital

In the morning, we take a final walk among the nomads before packing up our camp. We travel back to N'Djamena via Dourbali. Upon arrival, we check into our hotel for a refreshing rest after the desert days. Lunch in the city is provided as a courtesy of our agency, and dinner is at your leisure.

Day 6 - 7: The Monumental Granite Peaks of the Guera Massif

We set off on a two-day journey to one of Chad’s most spectacular natural regions, the Guera Massif. The sight of immense granite rocks and mountains suddenly rising from the flat savannah is truly breathtaking. We visit local communities living at the base of the mountains, explore the unique local flora and fauna, and spend our nights in our fully equipped tented camp embraced by the monumental cliffs.

Day 8: Return to N'Djamena & Cultural Wrap-up

We bid farewell to the Guera Mountains and travel back to N'Djamena. Along the way, we stop in villages famous for traditional handicrafts. Upon arrival in the capital, we enjoy a group lunch to look back at the most beautiful moments of the trip. The evening offers free time for souvenir shopping at the local market, followed by an independent farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9: Farewell to Chad & Departure

Depending on your international flight schedule, we transfer to the international airport to catch your flight back to Budapest, carrying a heart full of extraordinary memories and cultural wonders.
