🗓 Full Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the Gateway to the East & The Pompeii of the East

Upon our morning arrival in Amman, we head straight to the monumental ruins of Jerash, one of the world's best-preserved Roman provincial cities. After walking through its grand colonnaded streets and theaters, we cross the Syrian border. We spend our first night in Damascus, the oldest continuously inhabited capital in the world.

Day 2: Damascus – A Feast for the Senses

A full day dedicated to exploring the Syrian capital. We immerse ourselves in the spice-scented alleys of the vibrant Al-Hamidiyah Souq, marvel at the stunning gold mosaics of the Umayyad Mosque, and stroll along the Straight Street, famously mentioned in the Bible. Enjoy a free evening in the bustling Old Town.

Day 3: The Queen of the Desert & Mountain Retreat

We travel across the Syrian Desert to reach Palmyra, the legendary oasis city once ruled by Queen Zenobia. After exploring these majestic ruins, we drive past Homs into the heart of the scenic Christian Valley to spend the night in the picturesque village of Mestaieh.

Day 4: The Giants of Hama & Arrival in Aleppo

In the morning, we stop in Hama to see the centuries-old, monumental wooden waterwheels (norias) that still line the Orontes River. In the afternoon, we continue our journey north to the historically rich city of Aleppo.

Day 5: The Awakening Legend of Aleppo

Today we discover the key trading hub of the legendary Silk Road. We explore the towering Citadel of Aleppo, an absolute masterpiece of medieval military architecture. Afterward, we take a walk through the historic Old Town and its slowly reviving traditional bazaars.

Day 6: Return to the Heart of the Capital

We bid farewell to Aleppo and head back south. In the afternoon, you will have more time to enjoy the charming atmosphere of Damascus—the perfect opportunity for souvenir shopping or relaxing with a traditional Arabic coffee or mint tea.

Day 7: The Black Basalt Marvel of Bosra

An excursion to the southern city of Bosra, built entirely from unique black basalt stone. Here stands one of the most complete and spectacular Roman theaters in the world, later enclosed within a massive fortress. We return to Damascus for the night.

Day 8: Floating in the Dead Sea & Heading to the Nabataean Kingdom

Early in the morning, we leave Syria and cross back into Jordan. The highlight of the day is a relaxing stop at the Dead Sea, where you can experience the effortless floatation in its mineral-rich, therapeutic waters. Rejuvenated, we drive south to arrive in Petra by evening. ⮕ Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Petra – A Wonder of the World

A full day dedicated to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Walking through the narrow, mystical Siq gorge, the breathtaking view of the Treasury (Al-Khazneh) suddenly opens up before us. We explore the royal tombs and the ancient theater before driving back to Amman for the night.

Day 10: Secrets of Amman & Farewell

In the morning, we explore the Jordanian capital built on seven hills, visiting the historic Citadel for panoramic city views and the impressive Roman Theater. In the afternoon, we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Budapest, carrying unforgettable memories.
