🗓 Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad, the Green Capital
Arrival in Pakistan’s modern, clean, and well-organized capital, Islamabad. Following airport transfer and hotel check-in, we embark on a short city tour: we marvel at the monumental, futuristic Faisal Mosque nestled at the foothills of the Margalla Hills and enjoy our first authentic Pakistani dinner.
Day 2: Flight Over the Himalayas & Arrival in Skardu
In the morning, we board a domestic flight for a breathtaking, panoramic journey over snow-capped peaks into Skardu, the heart of Baltistan. We visit the turquoise waters of Kachura Lake and take a stroll through the uniquely atmospheric local bazaar.
Day 3: Heading to the Fairytale Fairy Meadows
We leave Skardu behind and embark on an adventurous ride using 4x4 jeeps along one of the most thrilling sections of the Karakoram Highway. After a short, stunning hike, we arrive at the magical pine-forested plateau of Fairy Meadows, offering a majestic panorama of Nanga Parbat, the 9th highest mountain in the world.
Day 4: Trekking to Beyal Camp in the Embrace of Nanga Parbat
Today is dedicated to the crisp mountain air. A comfortable and incredibly scenic trek brings us to Beyal Camp. Here, the immense glaciers and the direct proximity of the 8,126-meter-high "Killer Mountain" provide an unforgettable, lifelong memory. Overnight in mountain wooden cabins.
Day 5: Arrival in the Legendary Hunza Valley
We bid farewell to Fairy Meadows and continue our journey north into the Hunza Valley, often described as a paradise on earth. The locals are legendary for their longevity and hospitality. In the evening, we check into our hotel in Karimabad, the center of Hunza.
Day 6: The Royal Heritage of Hunza & The Thousand-Year-Old Forts
A full day dedicated to exploring the Hunza Valley. We tour the majestic Baltit and Altit Forts perched on rocky cliffs, which served as the seats of the local rulers (Mir) for centuries. We walk the cobblestone streets, where you can taste local apricot specialties.
Day 7: Boating on Attabad Lake & The Passu Cones
We begin the day at the incredibly vibrant blue Attabad Lake, enjoying a scenic boat ride surrounded by steep canyon walls. Afterward, we drive towards the dramatic, jagged Passu Cones and the Passu Glacier, and test our bravery on the famous Hussaini Suspension Bridge.
Day 8: Returning to the Gateway of the Mountains, Gilgit
Heading south along the Karakoram Highway, we reach the commercial hub of the region, Gilgit. We view the 7th-century Kargah Buddha carved into the cliff face and might even catch a glimpse of the passionate, traditional local polo matches or practice sessions.
Day 9: Domestic Flight to Islamabad & Travel to Lahore
In the morning, we fly back to Islamabad (in case of bad weather, we travel via the scenic Karakoram Highway). From the airport, we head directly towards Punjab's cultural capital, the bustling city of Lahore, arriving in the evening.
Day 10: The Mughal Splendor of Lahore
A full day to discover the architectural masterpieces of the Mughal Empire. We explore the monumental Lahore Fort, the gigantic Badshahi Mosque, and take a walk through the colorful chaos of the Old Town. We enjoy a farewell dinner on the famous Food Street.
